Buying signalACCOUNT INTELLIGENCE

A buying signal is a dated, attributable event that raises the probability an account will buy in a given window. A job posting naming a product, an RFP, a leadership change, an acquisition, or a contract nearing expiry all qualify. The useful distinction is between named signals, where you can point to the specific event, and anonymous intent, where a vendor tells you a score moved but cannot say why. Named signals survive being questioned by a rep; anonymous ones usually do not.
