The rate at which contact records become inaccurate over time.

Data decayACCOUNT INTELLIGENCE

B2B contact data degrades continuously as people change roles, companies restructure, and domains change. The industry figure usually quoted is roughly 2 to 3 percent per month, which compounds into a materially wrong database within a year if nothing is re-verified. The practical defence is not a bigger database but a visible last-verified date, so a rep can see whether a record is fresh before they act on it.
